Job summary

A leading medical technology firm in Rockford is seeking an Electrical Engineer to manage the design and implementation of electrical systems for a medical isotope production facility. In this role, you'll provide technical leadership while overseeing all phases of electrical engineering, from initial design through to commissioning. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, contributing your expertise to critical healthcare infrastructure in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in low-voltage power engineering design.
  • Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards.
  • Hands-on experience with conduits, cable selection, and panel design.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare specifications and calculations to support design and construction.
  • Partner with Procurement to qualify electrical equipment.
  • Provide oversight to contract engineers for power supply systems.
  • Support Construction by processing RFIs and engineering changes.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes and standards.

Skills

Low-voltage power engineering design
Technical leadership
Knowledge of National Electric Code
Hands-on experience with cable trays

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
