Qualifications

• 5+ years of consulting experience and Wisconsin licensure (preferred) as a Professional Engineer or Designer.
• Knowledge of electrical systems for complex building types.
• Familiar with the current Electrical and Building Codes.
• Knowledge of power distribution systems, interior and exterior lighting, and life safety systems (required).
• Experience with architectural and specialty lighting design (preferred).
• Software Experience: Revit, SKM Power Tools, AG132, or Elum Tools (preferred).
• Ability to think creatively and operate in a dynamic multi-tasking team setting.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with clients and the project design team to engineer the appropriate electrical systems for each unique project.
• Engineer, calculate, and document building electrical distribution system, lighting and controls, and fire alarm systems.
• Select and specify devices, fixtures, components, and equipment.
• Oversee the production of construction documents (such as plans, details, schedules, specifications).
• Estimate project costs.
• Assist with construction administration.
