System One is seeking an Electrical Engineer (Data Center) for a 6 month contract in the Denver, CO area. The role requires leading large-scale data center designs onsite, coordinating with project teams and field personnel to meet scope, budget, and schedule targets.

The candidate should have at least 11 years of experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and a professional engineering license or active pursuit.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Data Center)

Compensation: $70.00 - $76.00
Work Model: Onsite – onsite

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to deliver detailed design of large-scale data center environments while following all company, client and project design standards.
• Work closely with engineering project teams and field personnel to complete and review projects on scope, budget, and schedule.
• Incorporate schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical design and layouts.
• Possess a willingness to function in multiple job roles simultaneously.
• Provide guidance and insight into design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency.
• Conduct field surveys, drawings, and other data to assess conditions of existing facilities and develop summary reports.
• Prepare and/or review technical drawings to ensure that installations and designs conform to standards and customer requirements.
• Review drawing and modeling production work, including problem analysis.
• Provide guidance to ensure that designs comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
• Compile data and create engineering studies and reports.
• Perform detailed calculations as needed by the project.
• Mentor, provide guidance, and supervise junior-level engineers and designers.
• Provide training for other technical personnel.
• Coordinate with internal and external clients to determine proper requirements for projects.
• Support business development, including developing scope-of-work, level-of-effort, and site visits to understand the scope of the pursuit.
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a desire to train and develop early career and/or inexperienced professionals.

Requirements

• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and challenge current assumptions.
• Attention to detail with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Understanding and application of engineering design principles and standards.
• Professional registration or licensure in engineering or actively pursuing it.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program.
