Job summary

Applied Engineering, Inc. in Faribault, MN, is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Cost & Design Improvements to join our team.

You will drive cost reductions, improve electrical designs, perform modeling and analysis for new and existing products, and support early-stage design work and sustaining engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering and at least two years of experience in electrical design and documentation.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrical engineer.
• Experience with electrical design, modeling, and documentation.
• Familiarity with sustaining engineering and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Ability to identify and execute design improvements that reduce cost and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Drive cost savings, margin improvement, and design enhancements across electrical systems.
• Perform electrical design, modeling, and analysis for new and existing products.
• Support RDE initiatives, including concept development and early-stage design work.
• Contribute to sustaining engineering activities and ECR processes.
• Collaborate with suppliers and Applied partners on projects.
