Job summary

Bridgestone Americas invites talented undergraduates in Electrical Engineering to join our Co-Op program. Gain hands-on experience designing, programming, and deploying manufacturing systems with mentorship from industry engineers.

You will work 40 hours per week for at least six months at our facilities, contributing to machine design, PLC programming, CAD work, and process improvements while developing professional skills in a global, safety-conscious environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or related major and enrolled in an accredited university.
• Sophomore to senior standing with GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Completed CAD/AutoCAD coursework.
• Available to work 40 hours weekly in a 6-month minimum co-op assignment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machinery and equipment to improve processes.
• Program and integrate industrial controls hardware/software for new/existing machines.
• Learn PLC programming and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Utilize electrical manufacturing tools and systems and suggest improvements.
• Support process engineering standards for compounds, components, curing, or uniformity analyses.
• Assist in safe design, procurement, installation, debugging, start-up and operation of plant equipment.
• Create, revise, and distribute design documents using relevant software.
