ESI Electrical Contractors, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years design experience to join our team.

You will create electrical engineering calculations, drawings, specifications and reports, and perform related duties in a fast-paced construction environment. The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) and proficiency with AutoCAD MEP, Revit, and related design software, along with strong communication and teamwork

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of design engineering experience preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD MEP and Revit; knowledge of SKM Power Tools, AmpCalc and CYMCAP is a plus.
• Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical engineering drawings and construction sets using CAD software.
• Prepare project specifications and technical reports.
• Perform short-circuit coordination, protection analysis, and cable calculations with specialized software.
• Prepare letters, memos and ensure compliance with building codes and standards.
• Conduct site observations and field audits as required.
