Stillpoint AEC in Tampa, FL is seeking an Electrical Engineer with building systems design experience in an MEP consulting setting.

You will lead electrical design for power, lighting, fire alarms, and backup systems, perform analyses, and develop drawings and specifications.

The role offers hybrid/onsite work, support for PE licensure, and collaboration on significant projects with a skilled team.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Experience designing electrical building systems within an MEP/AEC environment required.
PE licensure preferred; EIT candidates progressing toward PE licensure will be considered.
Experience with NEC, NFPA standards, energy codes, and building codes.

Design building electrical systems: power distribution, lighting, emergency & standby power, fire alarm, grounding, and low-voltage systems.
Perform electrical load calculations, voltage drop calculations, short-circuit & coordination studies, equipment sizing.
Develop power distribution systems, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, lighting layouts, lighting controls, and electrical equipment specifications.
Perform electrical service and distribution design including transformers, switchgear, switchboards, panelboards, generators, etc.
Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural, civil, technology, and other disciplines.
Support projects through schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
Provide project coordination, technical guidance, client interaction, and mentorship as per experience.
