Job summary

The Adecco Group seeks an Electrical Engineer for building systems design in Honolulu, Hawaii, offering direct-hire opportunities with a 100% employee-owned multidisciplinary firm active for decades. You will lead design concepts, coordinate with architects and regulators, and drive projects from investigation through construction.

You’ll manage schedules, budgets, and client expectations across multiple design phases while mentoring junior staff and ensuring code-compliant, practical electrical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least five years of professional electrical design experience.
  • Experience across multiple phases of design and construction.
  • At least five years of AutoCAD experience.
  • FE/EIT completion is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Current Hawaiʻi experience or established local ties strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electrical designs from initial concepts through final construction documents.
  • Prepare drawings, specifications, studies, reports, calculations, and submission packages.
  • Perform site investigations, inspections, assessments, and field measurements.
  • Evaluate existing conditions and translate field information into practical electrical designs.
  • Apply codes and design standards.
  • Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, civil, and other disciplines.
  • Review documents for accuracy and code compliance.
  • Establish project schedules and manage deliverables across design phases.
  • Prepare quantity takeoffs and opinions of probable construction cost.
  • Present technical information during client meetings.
  • Communicate with clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Monitor project scope, schedules, and financial performance.
  • Develop client relationships and provide practical technical guidance.
  • Mentor less-experienced engineers and designers.
