Descripción del empleo

Pioneer Power Group, a trusted leader in power system studies, is seeking detail-oriented and client-focused Electrical Engineers to join our growing team. Recognized as an Inc. 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Company for three consecutive years, we're continuing to expand to meet increasing client demand.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy solving technical challenges, working directly with clients, and building expertise in power system studies. Whether you're looking to deepen your technical knowledge or take on increasing responsibility over time, you'll have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative, supportive environment.

Key things to note:

  • Engineers work on both new construction projects and existing facilities across a range of industries, including large commercial, data centers, hospitality, and healthcare.

  • Our team works in a fast-paced consulting environment where most projects are completed within two weeks of receiving all required client information, while larger, more complex studies follow longer project timelines.

  • This is a remote position based in the United States. If you are near our Pittsburgh, PA office, it will be a hybrid schedule in office at least 2 workdays a week.

Specific Responsibilities will include:

  • Perform engineering studies for electrical distribution systems. This includes short-circuit studies, coordination studies, arc flash hazard analyses, load flow analyses and motor starting studies.

  • Evaluate protective device ratings, develop time-current coordination plots to optimize overcurrent settings for circuit breakers and/or relays, and calculate incident energy levels at equipment locations.

  • Provide recommendations to improve system reliability and/or help end users work more safely.

  • Review specifications, customer drawings, and technical proposals.

  • Communicate directly with clients regarding project status, results, and future needs.

  • Collaborate with senior engineers to help scale and improve the delivery of our solutions.

  • Responsible for performing technical work, managing projects, and other related tasks as directed by the Company’s CEO or his designee.

  • Contribute individually and as part of a team for nationwide power system study projects.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

  • 2+ years of experience in an electrical engineering role.

  • Experience performing power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, and arc flash analyses.

  • Proficiency with any of the following software: SKM/ETAP/EasyPower

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Self-starter mindset: organized, dependable, and eager to learn.

Why Pioneer Power Group?

  • Small team, big impact: Work closely with colleagues from diverse backgrounds in a collaborative, supportive environment where your voice and ideas truly matter. Our culture values openness, creativity, and team-led solutions, not rigid hierarchies.

  • Accelerate your career: Grow your technical expertise while contributing to essential power system projects across the nation. As part of a small but growing team (~40 employees), your success and initiative will be recognized, opening the door to greater responsibility and higher-level assignments over time.

  • Career development: Receive mentorship from proven industry leaders and support for personal growth, including a pathway toward your Professional Engineer (PE) license.

  • Innovative projects and exposure: Pioneer Power is a go-to source for top-tier clients industry-wide, giving you the opportunity to broaden your experience working on complex, meaningful engineering challenges.

  • Comprehensive benefits: Enjoy excellent health, dental, 401K, bonus, paid vacation, and more.
