Overview

Electrical Engineer 6(Medium/Low Voltage) – About the job

***This position is open to a hybrid work schedule allowing work from home several days per week ***

Responsibilities
  • Using provided high-level goals, design electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems, ranging from basic to highly complex, to meet client project needs.
  • Review draft designs to ensure they comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and sign off on final designs.
  • Conduct power system studies and perform electrical calculations, including for lighting, communications, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to the firm\'s policies and practices.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed to ensure designs align with location specifications and update requirements as necessary.
  • Contribute to the firm\'s technical knowledge by creating white papers and technical documentation on new or unique designs and studies.
  • Submit technical papers and designs for publication in professional journals.
  • Work with sales teams to develop proposals in response to client RFPs, reviewing drafts to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Engage with current and potential clients to discuss their design needs and attend conferences to enhance the firm\'s visibility alongside sales staff.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, mentoring them for future growth within the firm. May also supervise junior engineers on project work.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 10 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
  • The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
  • Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
