Electrical Engineer 6(Medium/Low Voltage) – About the job
***This position is open to a hybrid work schedule allowing work from home several days per week ***
Responsibilities
- Using provided high-level goals, design electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems, ranging from basic to highly complex, to meet client project needs.
- Review draft designs to ensure they comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and sign off on final designs.
- Conduct power system studies and perform electrical calculations, including for lighting, communications, fire alarms, and security systems.
- Ensure all designs adhere to the firm\'s policies and practices.
- Conduct site reviews as needed to ensure designs align with location specifications and update requirements as necessary.
- Contribute to the firm\'s technical knowledge by creating white papers and technical documentation on new or unique designs and studies.
- Submit technical papers and designs for publication in professional journals.
- Work with sales teams to develop proposals in response to client RFPs, reviewing drafts to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Engage with current and potential clients to discuss their design needs and attend conferences to enhance the firm\'s visibility alongside sales staff.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff, mentoring them for future growth within the firm. May also supervise junior engineers on project work.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
- Professional engineering (PE) license.
- 10 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Abilities
- Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design.
- Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
