Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking an Electrical Engineer in West Milton, NY, requiring an active DOE L clearance. The role involves supporting construction projects, defining project scope, and providing engineering support during the construction phase of buildings and utility projects.

The ideal candidate should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, and experience in electrical engineering tasks, construction administration, and knowledge of building codes. A comprehensive benefits package, including health care and retirement plans, is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience performing electrical engineering tasks including development of contract documents, calculations and cost estimates.
• Working knowledge of building codes and standards.
• Experience in construction administration (submittal review, RFIs, construction inspections, etc.).
• Due to government contract requirements, US citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Work within a project team environment to support construction projects.
• Develop and define project scope with sponsors.

• Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with facility staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Work within a project team environment to support construction projects at the Knolls Site.
• Develop and define project scope with sponsors.
• Work with a project team to develop specifications, cost estimates, drawing reviews, and provide engineering support during construction phase for buildings and utility projects.
• Oversee architectural engineering firms in developing concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• EIT certificate and/or P.E. License
• Engineering consulting experience
