Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting an Electrical Engineer 3#3249 (3894) in Los Alamos, NM. The role supports design, operation, and maintenance of facilities with a focus on electrical engineering principles and multi-disciplinary integration.

The selected candidate will lead or participate in projects, develop design packages, and ensure compliance with DOE/NNSA and DoD standards while delivering high-quality engineering work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes, standards, and criteria.
  • Knowledge of DOE/ DoD facility standards (NQA-1, IBC, NFPA, NEC).
  • Experience developing engineering design packages and familiarity with CAD/drafting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Perform conventional electrical engineering design, analysis, and calculations.
  • Develop, review, and support engineering design packages.
  • Provide construction, field, and project engineering support.
  • Support facility design, operation, and maintenance activities.

Works independently and as part of a team whileutilizingengineering technology and supporting process improvements to meet customer needs.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineeringfrom anABET-accreditedinstitution.
  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Working knowledge of industry, regulatory, and DOE/NNSA codes, standards, and criteria relevant to electrical engineering.
  • Knowledge of DOE and DoD facility standards including NQA-1, IBC, NFPA, and NEC.
  • Experiencefacilitatingand developing engineering design packages.
  • Familiarity with engineering deliverables including construction documents.
  • Experience with computer-aided design/drafting software or markup tools.

Clearance Requirements

  • This position requires the ability to obtain andmaintaina DOE Q Clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship isrequired(withvery limitedexceptions).
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Work Schedule

  • After completion of a training period, employees may work Friday-Monday, 10-hour shifts.
  • The training period will follow a Tuesday-Friday, 10-hour shift schedule.
  • Shift and weekend assignments aredeterminedby management based on operational needs.
