Job summary

Oracle is seeking an engineer to assist in the design, development, and integration of electrical systems for its hardware products. You will support parts selection, FPGA design, and schematic capture, while collaborating with firmware and diagnostics teams to ensure subsystem compatibility and rigorous testing.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, data analysis, and documentation of schematics and bills of materials, with opportunities to apply EMI/PI knowledge and improve product reliability

Qualifications

• Design and/ or test experience with CPU chip set architectures (Intel/AMD/Ampere) desirable.
• Experience with Nvidia or AMD GPU architectures desirable.
• Proficient in electrical signal quality measurement (jitter, noise, timing).
• Proficient with test equipment including high-speed oscilloscopes, probes, logic, and network analyzers.
• Knowledge of frequency domain analysis and electrical signal integrity concepts.
• Experience with Ethernet compliance standards and testing desirable.
• Strong debugging abilities for board-level signaling problems.
• Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with Python or similar object-oriented programming language.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design, development, and integration of electrical systems for hardware products.
• Support parts selection, FPGA design, and schematic capture for subsystems.
• Assist in design analysis with basic modeling and simulations.
• Develop board floor planning and layout focusing on PDS, high-speed routing, and EMI mitigation.
• Help diagnose and resolve power and signal integrity issues.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and diagnostics teams for subsystem integration.
• Support testing, validation, and debugging of analog and digital systems.
• Prepare automation platforms and data analysis for validation workflows.
• Follow test plans, perform troubleshooting, and assist root cause investigations.
• Assist sustaining engineering, customer escalations, and component qualification.
