Job summary

Southeastern-Comp-Consultants-Inc (SCCI) is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the Battle Management System portfolio in Dahlgren, VA. You will design PCBs with ARM microcontrollers, create harnesses, and prepare technical design packages while collaborating with EE, ME, embedded software, and QA teams.

You will contribute to testing, integration, and startup of new PCB designs, and generate progress reports while adapting to evolving program requirements.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizen capable of attaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
  • BS degree in engineering, science, or technical field from an accredited college/university.
  • 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in a professional environment.
  • Knowledge of EE best practices and rapid development processes.
  • Hands-on fabrication experience: soldering, cable making, oscilloscope, voltmeter, hand tools, crimping, PCB assembly.
  • Proven skills in circuits, semiconductors, logic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, cabling/harness design, and microprocessors.
  • Knowledge of Weapon Systems and Command & Control Systems.
  • Embedded software design practices.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks.
  • Ability to adapt to changing program requirements and contribute to task estimation and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Design custom PCBs using ARM-based microcontrollers for BMS platforms.
  • Design harnesses and cabling between circuit cards and external interfaces.
  • Create Technical Design Packages with fabrication and assembly instructions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and startup of new PCB designs.
  • Collaborate with EE, ME, Embedded Software, and QA teams.
  • Develop status reports and performance results, orally and in writing.

OverviewSCCI is hiring a Electrical Engineer (EE) for the Battle Management System (BMS) portfolio of projects. In this position you will apply robust electrical engineering processes working closely with the BMS Electrical team. The successful candidate will be expected to communicate and collaborate on a regular basis with EE team to clarify program intent, identify problems, suggest changes, and develop and document solutions. Additional duties may include participating in the installation, integration, and testing of the developed changes at Dahlgren.
