Job summary

Staffing Technologies in Austin, TX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Power and Performance team. This design/test engineering role focuses on power validation of silicon products and platform-level debugging.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and OEMs to innovate technology, work with PCB/DDR4/5, USB‑C, and I2C/SPI/UART, and contribute to driver and system-level integration.

Qualifications

  • Strong EE fundamentals in analog/digital design and signal/power integrity.
  • Experience with BIOS/OS and driver interactions at system level; knowledge of x86 architecture.
  • Experience scripting (Perl/PowerShell/Python) and basic lab equipment and data acquisition.
  • PCB design and characterization for DDR4/5, USB-C, LPDDR, MIPI, I2C/SPI/UART.
  • Experience with MCU, power management, analog circuits, or display tech.
  • Experience with board CAD tools Cadence Concept & Allegro.

Seeking an enthusiastic electrical engineer to join our Power and Performance Customer Attainment team and work on best-in-class products. This is a design/test engineering position that entails working with multifunctional groups as well as clients/OEMs to innovate the technology implemented in AMD's products. The team is mainly focused on power validation of silicon products and debugging PC systems with an emphasis on platform-level debug.

Education Requirements:
  • Recent college graduate holding a degree in EE or equivalent (Bachelors)
Job Requirements:
  • Should demonstrate strong EE fundamentals (analog/digital design, signal/power integrity, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of BIOS, OS, and driver interactions at the system level as well as proficient understanding of x86 CPU architecture and functionality
  • Experience in scripting and automation languages (Perl, PowerShell, Python, etc.) as well as a good familiarity with basic lab equipment, data acquisition devices, and switching power supplies
  • Experience with leading PCB technology and electrical design and characterization of the following areas: DDR4/5, USB-C, LPDP, MIPI and I2C/SPI/UART buses
  • Experience in one or more of: MCU, power (DC-DC converters, power management, low power design), analog circuits, display technology, and integration
  • Experience in board CAD tools including Cadence Concept & Allegro

The role is self-starting and the candidate should be able to deal with a high level of ambiguity as well as constant communication with the client/OEM, internal system and software engineers, external vendors, and System on Chip (SoC) architects to debug and improve power models and drivers used for future client programs.

Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Partner with: o Enterprise Sales leadership o Global Account teams o Enterprise Architects o AI Solution Overlay teams o Marketing leadership
  • Support governance model development and leadership alignment
  • Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., advisory firms, event partners) including proposal evaluation and execution oversight Customer Targeting & Engagement [AMD Confidential - Distribution Under NDA]
  • Track development of executive target lists
  • Facilitate executive invitation process and engagement journey
  • Ensure white-glove executive experience from outreach through follow-up Event Activation
  • Lead planning for the annual anchor event (e.g., US Open 2026 / Advancing AI)
  • Manage agenda development, executive content alignment, speaker coordination, and briefing materials
  • Oversee event logistics and onsite execution
