Job summary

Sangha Partners is seeking a Founding Electrical Engineer for our client building the future of home robotics. You will own end-to-end electrical systems design - from wearables and flex circuits to power electronics - and help integrate these systems into robotic and wearable platforms.

Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to deliver fully integrated products, lead hardware prototyping through scalable production, and shape the hardware architecture in a fast-paced zero-to-one

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Strong system architecture and PCB design expertise, with high-speed routing and flex design.
• Background in consumer electronics, robotics, wearables, or embedded systems.

About the Role

Our client is looking for a Founding Electrical Engineer who thrives in fast-paced, zero-to-one environment and wants to help architect the future of robotics hardware. This person will own end-to-end electrical systems design - from wearables and flex circuits to power electronics - and play a key role in integrating these systems into robotic and wearable platforms.

• Design compact PCBs and flex circuits for wearables and robotic systems
• Develop cabling and harnessing for system-wide integration
• Lead implementation of communication protocols (CAN, USB, EtherCAT, Ethernet)
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams to deliver fully integrated products
• Support the full product lifecycle from prototyping through scalable production

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in electrical engineering
• Proven expertise in system architecture, PCB design, high-speed routing, and flex design
• Deep knowledge of communication protocols (CAN, USB, EtherCAT, Ethernet)
• Background in consumer electronics, robotics, wearables, or embedded systems
• Experience shipping complex hardware products at scale

Nice-to-Haves

• Firmware development experience (C/C , Espressif, STM)
• Familiarity with control theory (actuator control, kinematic chain)
• Experience working with electromechanical systems and safety-critical designs
• Knowledge of dynamic wire routing and EMI/EMC best practices
