Job summary

Continental Tire the Americas, LLC is seeking an Electrical Projects Engineer to budget, procure, install and start-up electrical projects in the plant. You will troubleshoot equipment in the Maintenance Department and ensure drawings and spare parts are up to date.

You will collaborate with internal or external engineering for design, procurement and startup, and develop plant projects involving equipment changes to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related 4 year degree.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing.
• Strong PLC experience in Beckhoff and/or Siemens.
• Unlimited and Unrestricted Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Responsibilities

• Budget, install, and procure the start-up of electrical projects in the plant.
• Provide assistance in troubleshooting equipment within the Maintenance Department.
• Ensure all drawings/prints are kept updated and that all new equipment spare parts are set-up.
• Maintain plant interest in all projects for which outside or internal engineering in designing, procuring, and starting up is required.
• Develop all plant projects in which equipment changes are made to achieve production.
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing problem equipment.
• Review all capital projects for the area assigned to ensure acceptability for production and financial justification.
• Arrange for adequate/proper production and maintenance training on all new equipment.

Job Description

YOUR TASKS

In this role, you will budget, procurement, installation, start-up of Electrical Projects in the plant. Provide assistance in troubleshooting problem equipment within the Maintenance Department. HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

• Budget, install, and procure the start-up of electrical projects in the plant
• Provide assistance in problem-solving and troubleshooting equipment within the maintenance department
• Ensure all drawings/prints are kept updated and that all new equipment spare parts are set-up
• Maintain plant interest in all projects for which outside or internal engineering in designing, procuring, and stating up is required
• Develop all plant projects in which equipment changes are made to achieve production
• Support maintenance in troubleshooting, repairing, replacing problem equipment
• Review all capital projects for the area assigned to insure acceptability for production and financial justification
• Arrange for adequate/proper production and maintenance training on all new equipment
• Monitor all installation activity in area assigned
• Work with project management for all capital projects in assigned area to ensure implementation is successful
• Review all design packages (electrical, electronics, power distribution) bid documents to ensure accuracy prior to installation
• Write appropriation requests for all necessary capital replacement equipment and new capital equipment in assigned area
• Assist planner in acquiring spare parts for all new and obsolete equipment
• Must have strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills and well as communication both written and oral
• Must be result innovative and focused/driven with good leadership and motivation skills
• Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls
• Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties
• Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards
• Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others
• Perform other duties as assigned

NOTE: May not be inclusive of all work required and may be updated as needed.
