Job summary

Figure is seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer based in San Jose, California, to design and test critical hardware components for our Humanoid. The ideal candidate will develop conceptual designs, design, and validate PCBAs for various critical components, and support system integration.

Qualification requirements include a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, mastery of high-speed board design, and experience with embedded programming as well as debugging hardware issues.

Qualifications

• Designed high speed boards (PCIe Gen1-5, USB3/4, MIPI, GMSL, 10G Ethernet).
• Experience with very small boards (HDI, flex, rigid flex).
• Mastery of debugging hardware issues.

Job description

Responsibilities

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to design and test critical hardware components of our Humanoid
• Develop conceptual designs and conduct trade studies to support key design decisions
• Design and validate PCBAs for critical components of the Humanoid like compute boards, camera electronics, power distribution boards, battery management systems, sensing boards, or motor controllers
• Support the review of design artifacts (schematics, layouts, bill of materials…) from your peers or external suppliers
• Support system integration and test activities by contributing to test execution and debugging

Qualifications

• Designed high speed boards (PCIe Gen1-5, USB3/4, MIPI, GMSL, 10G Ethernet) with high current power supplies for compute modules
• Experience with very small boards (HDI, flex, rigid flex)
• Embedded programming of DSPs, microcontrollers, and FPGAs
• Solid EE fundamentals with hands‑on experience designing, building, and testing PCBAs
• Bachelor or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Understanding of signal integrity issues and how to mitigate them
• Mastery of debugging HW issues. You know how to attack a problem, document, and come up with solutions quickly
• Experience with Camera Electronics
• Experience using LTspice and Python
• Mastery of Altium in both schematics and layout2+ years of industry experience
