Position Summary

Hanwha Philly Shipyard in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team. This role includes ensuring safety regulations are met, conducting design activities, coordinating system fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing, and maintaining communication with internal and external parties. Candidates should have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience and at least 10 years in shipbuilding or system design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform safety procedures and compliance activities.
  • Conduct basic and detailed design activities, including the creation of technical diagrams and drawings.
  • Coordinate system fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing.
  • Provide technical support for material tracking and logistics.
  • Develop and implement quality and testing standards.
  • Interface with ship owners and classification societies to resolve technical issues.
  • Stay updated with classification and regulatory rules applicable to assigned systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred or a technical diploma with substantial experience.
  • Shipbuilding, system design, or manufacturing experience spanning 10 years minimum.
  • Proficient with MS Office and AutoCAD.
  • Familiar with Classification Society Rules, IMO Regulations, US Coast Guard Requirements, and international shipbuilding standards.
