Job summary

Ballinger is seeking a licensed professional engineer in Philadelphia with 5+ years of experience to lead discipline teams on complex projects across health care, academic labs, government, and technology sectors. You will mentor staff, interface with design disciplines, and oversee design and detailing to deliver high-quality project documents.

You will coordinate with clients, manage drawing production, and develop knowledge of Ballinger’s project types through active engagement with project

Qualifications

• BS, BEng, or BAE degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience.
• PE Registration.

Position Responsibilities

• Interfaces with all disciplines during the design/coordination phases
• Mentoring of staff both within your discipline and across disciplines on your specific area of expertise or engineering discipline, with the goal of increasing knowledge sharing and collaborating towards a comprehensive, coordinated set of project documents
• Lead multiple project teams within their discipline on technically complex projects Perform engineering on projects: accountable for the timely delivery of the assignments delegated to them in the work plan
• Collaborate with the broader project team as a discipline leader
• Interact with clients on project issues related to discipline Perform engineering on projects: develop, execute, analyze/review and oversee progress on the design and detailing for the discipline Produce field site visit reports as applicable to level of responsibility by project
• Manage project drawing and specification production Develop knowledge of Ballinger’s project types (health care, academic/lab/research, corporate/workspace) through active engagement with project teams and leadership

Requirements

• BS, BEng, or BAE degree in engineering relevant to the particular field of practice or equivalent as determined by the firm
• 5+ years of experience
• PE Registration

Location and Travel

This role is located in our Philadelphia PA office, with a flexible, hybrid work schedule, in the office three (3) days per week. Travel as project requirements dictate for surveys and field/site visits during construction.
