Our advanced UAV solutions are designed to meet critical security needs, serving clients in various sectors including defense and security. With a team composed of former military personnel and seasoned aerospace and robotics engineers, we pride ourselves on delivering innovative drone technologies built in the USA. We are seeking a Firmware Engineer to develop and maintain firmware for our UAV products.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented Electrical (Embedded Hardware) Engineer with a strong foundation in PCB Electrical design principles. This role is expected to thrive in a collaborative and creative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative drone technologies to life in a start-up environment. The daily challenges will require creative problem-solving and engineering intuition.,This role will require the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work cross-functionally to advance the product lines. An electrical engineer at Easy Aerial is expected to run projects from start to finish, including concept development, prototyping, and transition to production. We are looking for candidates that will be committed to continuous improvement of the products and are always eager to stay ahead of industry trends, ensuring that your designs are at the forefront of technological advancement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and debug PCBs for drone and embedded systems applications, working closely with firmware designers.
  • Manage and maintain PCB designs throughout the full production lifecycle, in close collaboration with internal production team
  • Incorporate feedback from end users, field teams, and manufacturing to continuously improve hardware performance and reliability
  • Collaborate with software, systems, and product teams to ensure seamless hardware/software integration across existing and new products
  • Specify and evaluate supplier components and subsystems
  • Generating and release Bill of Materials and respective documentation for configuration management and production
  • Support system integration efforts and customer-driven feature development
  • Expect to collaborate effectively across disciplines in a small-business environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree a plus)
  • 5+ years of experience in embedded hardware development (robotics, aerospace, UAVs, automotive, or similar)
  • Experience designing and controlling FET-based driver circuits for power management between power sources and batteries
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Proven experience in the design, development, and testing of embedded hardware for high-reliability applications
  • Demonstrate hands-on prototyping experience and familiarity with soldering, rework, and hardware prototyping
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Ability to read schematics and engineering specifications, and perform respective calculations and analysis
  • Understanding of thermal management, EMI, and component reliability
Bonus Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for military vehicles, systems, and equipment. (MIL-STD, IEEE, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ISO9001 and AS9100 standards is highly desirable
