Responsibilities
- Apply intensive and diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principles to create solutions for recycling various materials.
- Design electrical, software, and manufacturing automation solutions, maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, and prevent project creep.
- Specify, manufacture, and validate systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, servos, motor drives, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, digital and analog I/O, and robotics.
- Create documentation such as programming diagrams, network diagrams, and electrical drawings, and update procedures and best practices.
- Specify, install, and maintain data acquisition, monitoring, and reporting solutions to provide accurate information to stakeholders.
- Lead continuous improvement projects, communicate and train all levels, troubleshoot issues, and optimize processing of recycled products.
- Provide technical support and training to Maintenance and Production as needed.
- Act as liaison for Maintenance and IT to problem solve issues and encourage creative, outside-the-box approaches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience as an electrical engineer with leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical control and power system design and application in automated production.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to coordinate projects between departments and manage flow of tasks end‑to‑end.
- Effective communication at all levels, including explaining technical information to non‑technical employees.
- Attention to detail and task prioritization.
- Self‑motivation, assertive, stress‑tolerant, optimistic mindset and willingness to adapt to evolving project requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Visual Basic, PLC programming (Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 or similar), AutoCAD, Ethernet networking, SCADA & HMI systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety requirements and commitment to compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.

Compensation
Base Salary Range: $100,000 - $150,000 per year. Variable compensation plan bonus may be eligible based on company performance within fiscal year cycle.
