Job summary

NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team and support energy projects from concept through detailed design and execution.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience, with proficiency in ETAP, SKM, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and AutoCAD. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. You will collaborate across disciplines in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is required.

NorthStar Energy Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Professional Engineering Consulting team.

NorthStar provides engineering, procurement, project management, construction management, and consulting solutions across the energy, midstream, petrochemical, refining, chemical, renewable, and gas industries. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team supporting energy projects from concept through detailed design and execution.

What You'll Do

• As an Electrical Engineer, you will perform engineering analysis, calculations, design development, and technical reviews for electrical systems supporting energy facilities.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience, preferably within the midstream energy and/or petrochemical industry
• Experience with ETAP, SKM, or equivalent
• Experience with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, or equivalent
• Experience with AutoCAD
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes and industry standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Ability to independently manage priorities and project deliverables
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering disciplines
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Bonus Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, particularly in the State of Texas
• Experience with midstream pipeline and facility projects
• Experience performing electrical studies and system modeling in ETAP
• Familiarity with IEEE, NFPA 70 (NEC), NESC, NEMA, API RP 500, UL, NACE, IES, AGA XL101, and Title 49 CFR Parts 190–199
• Experience with overhead distribution and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems
