Job summary

Inflection Space Systems in Los Angeles, CA is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own its avionics architecture and power system. This full-time onsite role reports to the CTO and will drive hardware from design through qualification and flight-ready delivery.

You will design, build, and test PCBAs for power conversion, distribution, computing, and communications, while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable production and on-orbit support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience delivering complex hardware.
• Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, power electronics, and embedded interfaces.
• Experience with spacecraft power systems including energy storage and power generation.
• Hands-on board bring-up and debugging, with ownership from design through qualification and delivery of flight-ready hardware.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

About the role

Inflection is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to own Inflection’s vertically integrated spacecraft avionics architecture and power system. This role reports directly to the CTO. This is a full-time, onsite role based out of Inflection’s HQ in Los Angeles, CA.

What you’ll do

• Own spacecraft avionics and power architecture, from requirements through flight hardware fabrication and test.
• Design, build, and test PCBAs for power conversion, power distribution, computing, and communications functions.
• Manage vendors and subcontractors.
• Lead board bring-up, electronic assembly integration, and environmental testing; diagnose and resolve hardware anomalies as they arise.
• Support on-orbit spacecraft operations.
• Design for reliable, repeatable production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience delivering complex hardware.
• Experience in circuit design, schematic capture, PCB layout, power electronics, and embedded interfaces.
• Experience with spacecraft power systems including energy storage and power generation.
• Hands-on board bring-up and debugging skills, with demonstrated ownership from design through qualification and delivery of flight-ready hardware.
• The ability to get hands-on, and an appetite to learn new things.
