Job summary

Hanson Professional Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its team of experts serving local and nationwide clients. You will design power distribution, lighting and low voltage systems for diverse facilities, while guiding CAD/Revit technicians and collaborating across disciplines.

Requirements include a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in consulting, and PE licensure or plan to obtain within six months. Some out-of-state travel is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer licensure in Electrical Engineering or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Minimum of 5 years in consulting professional services within Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience preparing electrical construction drawings, specifications, submittals and construction administration.

Responsibilities

  • Design power distribution systems for airports, commercial, governmental and industrial facilities.
  • Design lighting and lighting controls; integrate fire alarm and low voltage systems.
  • Coordinate with CAD/Revit technicians and other engineers on multiple projects.
  • Travel periodically, including out-of-state travel, to meet project needs.
  • Review field conditions and communicate effectively with contractors.

General duties will include the design of power distribution systems on or within airport, commercial, governmental, and industrial facilities; lighting and lighting controls; and integration of fire alarm, voice/data, electronic access controls, multimedia, CCTV, and other low voltage systems.
