Job summary

Galent in Irvine, CA seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development, integration, validation, and production of electronic hardware and control systems.

The role requires hands-on analog and digital circuit design, root cause analysis, automated test development with NI LabVIEW, and operation of scopes, DMMs and spectrum analyzers. You will read schematics, design interconnect diagrams, and write test plans and reports for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in electronic systems, circuit design, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and design schematics, interconnect diagrams, and circuits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, validate, and production-support electronic hardware and control systems.
• Read, interpret, and create schematics and interconnect diagrams.
• Support the production line by maintaining electrical power and control systems.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions with data-driven analyses.
• Write test plans and reports and present findings to engineers and customers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable hardware.

Job description

Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electronic systems, circuit design, testing, and troubleshooting. This role is responsible for supporting the development, integration, validation, and production of electronic hardware and electrical control systems. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with analog and digital circuit design, root cause analysis, automated test development using NI LabVIEW, and the use of electronic test equipment.

Description:

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 5+ years of related experience with electronic systems and circuit design, analysis, integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read and design electronic schematics, circuits, subsystems, and interconnect diagrams.
• Supports the production line by designing or maintaining electrical power and control systems.
• Experience with digital and analog circuit design and troubleshooting.
• Experienced in root cause investigation and corrective action.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW, create/update test VI’s, and test sequences.
• Experience with the use of standard test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
• Writes test plans/reports, presents data to other engineers, other departments, and internal/external customers as required.
• Works independently and cooperatively with interdepartmental teams.
