At AtkinsRéalis USA Inc. in Exton, PA is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead and contribute to design/build projects across industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. The role accepts in-office and hybrid work schedules, with no remote option and no relocation assistance.

The candidate will prepare electrical concepts, perform load calculations, develop power distribution diagrams, and coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent 4-year degree.
• 3–5 years of electrical design experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using SKM/EasyPower/ETAP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical system concepts for industrial facilities.
• Prepare calculations for electrical loads and single line diagrams for power distribution.
• Develop lighting design and layouts for fire alarm, communication, and security systems.
• Coordinate lighting systems with architects and electrical requirements with HVAC, plumbing and process engineers.
• Review construction progress and participate in system commissioning.

Job Description Overview

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Exton, PA to lead and work on various projects. The Electrical Engineer reports to our Electrical Engineering Manager and the position requires working on fast paced technically complex design/build projects in the industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical, and food sectors. This position is located in the Exton, PA office and is open to in-office and hybrid work schedule. Remote location is not being considered. No relocation expenses will be paid.

Your role

• Preparation, design, modification, coordination, and/or review of the following under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager.
• Prepare electrical system concepts for industrial, biotech, pharmaceutical and food facilities.
• Prepare calculations for electrical loads.
• Prepare single line diagrams for power distribution.
• Develop lighting design.
• Prepare layouts for miscellaneous systems such as fire alarm, communication, and security systems.
• Coordinate lighting systems with architect.
• Coordinate electrical requirements of HVAC and Plumbing equipment with mechanical engineers.
• Coordinate electrical requirements of process equipment with process engineers.
• Review progress of construction in the field.
• Participate in commissioning of systems.

About you

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent 4year degree.
• 3-5 years of electrical design experience using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience using SKM/EasyPower/ETAP for Short Circuit and Arc Flash studies is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

• Overtime hours may be necessary as workload dictates.
• Travel to client sites may be required.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $79,600- $105,000 annually depending on skills and experience.
