MTS Systems Corporation is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join the Electrical Hardware Development team. You will own hardware designs and support the full lifecycle, including schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, testing, and production support.

You will also contribute to firmware and FPGA work and generate manufacturing documentation. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 2+ years in embedded hardware design with ECAD tools.

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer who is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high-performance motion control and precision data acquisition.

What You'll Do

• Own and support new and existing hardware product designs through the entire hardware product development lifecycle
• Ideation and schematic capture
• PCB layout and prototyping
• Testing and validation
• Production support and obsolescence management
• Develop or support firmware and FPGA designs
• Generate documentation (assembly drawings, BOMs, etc.) required for manufacturing and assembly
• Create internal design documents for review and reference by peers and cross-functional team members

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
• 2+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, PWB/PWA design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and board bring-up
• Experience with ECAD tools, like Altium Designer and OrCAD/Allegro

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Altium Designer
• Experience developing in SystemVerilog
• Experience with FPGA development tools
• Experience with Git or similar version control tools

Compensation Information

$80,000 - $110,000 Annual Salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
