Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking an Electrical Engineer II to design, develop, and validate electrical systems for mobile equipment. You will work on SAE J1939 CAN-based controls, vehicle telematics, wiring harness design, power distribution, diagnostics, and field support.

The role includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, leading small projects, and supporting production, testing, and service activities across shop, test-site, and field environments.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years of experience with electrical systems for mobile equipment.
• Hands-on SAE J1939 CAN systems and wiring harness design experience.
• Experience supporting equipment in shop, test-site, and field environments.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Aufgaben

• Develop electrical system architecture, including power distribution, control networks, protection strategies, and interface definitions.
• Design and validate electrical and electronic systems for harsh environments involving shock, vibration, extreme temperatures, moisture, dust, corrosion, and electrical noise.
• Develop and integrate SAE J1939 CAN-based control systems, including network nodes, communication messages, fault handling, and service diagnostics.
• Design wiring harnesses, including routing, connector selection, manufacturability, serviceability, and durability.
• Support vehicle telematics, connectivity solutions, environmental testing, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Provide technical support to production teams, field service personnel, and product engineering, including commissioning and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, sales, contractors, and cross-functional engineering teams to improve product reliability and performance.
• Lead small to medium-sized engineering projects, participate in design reviews, document technical decisions, and mitigate project risks.

• Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing electronics for rugged or harsh operating environments.
• Familiarity with CODESYS and/or Parker IQAN software.
• Experience owning electrical systems or subsystems from concept and design through validation and field performance.
• Background in production support, troubleshooting, field issue resolution, and continuous improvement.
