Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Dallas is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design, develop, and test electrical components for robots and ground-based vehicles, applying engineering principles to meet customer requirements. The role is onsite in Dallas and reports to a manager with potential team lead responsibilities.

You will use CAD tools, perform tests, and coordinate maintenance of equipment in field installations, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of electrical and electronics systems knowledge.
  • Wiring harness design with CAD.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN and Ethernet.
  • Embedded module programming and lab hands-on experience.
  • Nice to have ISO 26262 & IPC/WHMA A 620 standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
  • Tests, designs and determines fabrication of test control apparatus and equipment, and determines methods and procedures for testing products.
  • Develops applications of controls, instruments, and systems for new commercial, domestic, and industrial uses.
  • Ensures that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements.
  • Coordinates operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations.
  • Uses computer aided engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks.
  • Maintains regular study habits by reviewing emerging technologies that improve the design, development, and testing of software programming and applications.

The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting.
