Job summary

Salas O’Brien, Inc. in Charlotte, NC seeks an Electrical Engineer to provide comprehensive electrical design services for construction projects across diverse clients. You will lead design efforts, prepare construction documents, and coordinate with architects, owners, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality electrical systems.

The role requires a B.S. in Electrical Engineering with PE registration and 5+ years of experience, NEC/building code expertise, and the ability to travel.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering required with PE registration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Design including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, coordination/arc flash studies.
• Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong knowledge of Building Codes, NFPA Codes and Energy Codes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and balance multiple projects.
• US Citizen and valid driver's license.

• Interact and work directly with Architects and Owners.
• Conduct preliminary evaluations.

Job Summary:

Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
