Electrical Engineer

Responsible for the research, design, selection, development, testing, documentation, and support of electronic components, products, and high precision systems.

• Design electronic components and systems for high precision instrumentation.
• Develop and test electronic systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Provide support for electronic components and systems, troubleshooting as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum of three years of experience in electronics system design and development.
• Experience with PCB design/layout including both digital and analog circuitry.
• Proficiency in PCB schematic capture and layout using Eagle, Fusion 365 or similar PCB design tools. Experience with Gerber files.
• Experience in motion control/actuation and embedded C.
• Experience with engineering bench equipment such as power supplies, DVM, oscilloscope, analyzers, and signal generators.
• Experience in designing microcontrollers and digital control systems.
• Proficiency in Altera/Intel PLD programming with the Quartus II design tool or similar FPGA/PLD tools.
• Programming, configuration, and debugging of digital devices in Assembly, C, and C++.
• Firmware development experience a plus.
• Proficiency in Altera/Intel PLD programming with the Quartus II design tool or similar FPGA/PLD tools a plus.
