Job summary

empirical foods, inc. is seeking a skilled Draftsperson to contribute to our electrical team. This role combines drafting, electrical knowledge, and documentation to create complete drawing packages from concept through manufacturing and field installation.

You may come from mechanical drafting, electricians, panel builders, controls technicians, or related programs. This onsite position is in South Sioux City, Nebraska.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control drawings.
• Understanding of three-phase power systems, industrial controls, and electrical theory.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical codes, standards and best practices.
• Ability to perform under deadlines and manage multiple project priorities.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed 2D drawings, 3D models, and documentation packages for industrial control panels and electrical installations based on designs from the Electrical Design Group.
• Develop complete project drawing packages including electrical schematics, panel layouts, panel room equipment layouts, detailed drawings, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and BOMs.
• Review project documentation for technical accuracy, scope, and compliance.
• Support design revisions during fabrication and project execution.
