Cache Valley Electric is seeking an Electrical Drafter / Designer to support the design and documentation of industrial electrical control panels and automation systems. You will work closely with controls engineers, project managers, panel-shop personnel, and field installation teams to develop accurate panel layouts and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities include creating drawings, developing BOMs, and updating drawings with engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical drafting, design, or related technical drafting.
• Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Create and maintain electrical control-system drawings.
• Develop control panel layouts and enclosure drawings.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and termination drawings.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials.
• Produce drawings for industrial control panels and automation systems.

• Prepare final as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Coordinate with panel builders to resolve questions in drawings and fabrication.
• Support field installation teams with drawing updates and technical documentation.

Electrical Drafter / Designer - Control Systems

Position Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Drafter / Designer to support the design and documentation of industrial electrical control panels and automation systems.

This position will work closely with controls engineers, project managers, panel-shop personnel, and field installation teams to develop accurate panel layouts, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain electrical control-system drawings.
• Develop control panel layouts and enclosure drawings.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and termination drawings.
• Develop and maintain bills of materials.
• Produce drawings for industrial control panels and automation systems.
• Update drawings based on engineering changes and field redlines.
• Prepare final as-built drawings and project documentation.
• Work with engineers to translate control-system concepts into production-ready drawings.
• Coordinate with panel builders to resolve drawing and fabrication questions.
• Support field installation teams with drawing updates and technical documentation.
• Maintain drawing standards, templates, symbols, and document-control procedures.
• Verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
