Job summary

Custom Truck One Source is seeking an Electrical Diagnostic Specialist in Union Grove, WI. This full-time exempt role focuses on diagnostic software and electrical systems for aerial, construction equipment, and heavy/light duty trucks.

You will troubleshoot 12V chassis wiring and multiplexing control systems, document repairs, and ensure work meets manufacturer specifications. A detail-oriented, self-driven professional with hands-on tools and solid computer skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems on aerial, construction equipment and heavy/light duty trucks.
• Assess, diagnose, repair and replace damaged parts within budget.
• Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.
• Inspect unit and diagnoses including parts requisition with accuracy.
• Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets specifications.
• Read manuals, blueprints and drawings.
• Maintain records of parts, services and labor for cost tracking.
• Submit all work orders to ensure budgets are met.
• Suggest innovative solutions to leadership.

Summary

Custom Truck One Source has an opening for Electrical Diagnostic Specialist with background in diagnostic software and electrical systems related to aerial, construction equipment and heavy/light duty trucks. They will need to be able to troubleshoot, analyze, and repair 12V chassis wiring, multiplexing control systems, and specialized truck-mounted body equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards within budget.
• Operate and inspect machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs.
• Perform initial inspection of unit and diagnostics including parts requisition without having missed or improperly identified items.
• Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance and compliance with manufacturers' specifications.
• Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
• Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected..
• Consider innovative solutions to problems and share them with the company's leadership team.
• Perform other duties as directed in professional manner.
• Perform all duties in in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment
• Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.

• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing a positive service experience. This includes internal client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• Attitude: This job requires "people" skills and a genuine desire to service the client. A positive attitude and willingness to maintain a professional demeanor with clients and team members is essential to this position
