Job summary

Abbott in Sylmar, CA seeks an Electrical Development Quality Engineer II to assure product quality from concept to commercialization. You will collaborate across functions to protect patient safety, execute Design Control deliverables, and support verification, validation, and risk management activities.

The role is fully onsite, with ~10% travel including international, and requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and 2 years of quality experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical Field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2 years of quality engineering experience and demonstrated use of Quality tools/methodologies.
• Experience in a matrixed, global enterprise environment preferred.
• Ability to travel approximately 10%, including international.

Responsibilities

• Execute and support on-time completion of Design Control Deliverables.
• Lead or support Risk Management activities from concept through commercialization.
• Support electrical design test/inspection method development and validation activities.
• Ensure DHF content is complete and compliant with regulatory standards.
• Support audits and audit responses and product re-certifications.
