Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks an Electrical Designer in Minneapolis with a background in building services and plant facilities design for military, higher education, institutional, utility plant, and industrial clients. You will design site and building power distribution, with medium and low voltage systems, switchgear, panelboards, and MCCs using REVIT.

The role requires coordinating design efforts, managing budgets and schedules, and demonstrating proficiency in REVIT.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of relevant design experience.
• Great design experience with REVIT, ability to set up electrical drawings, and pick up marks ups from electrical engineer.
• Ability to create an electrical model within REVIT.
• Ability to set up electrical families in REVIT.
• Good understanding of the National Electrical Code.
• Understanding of developing engineering drawings and specifications.
• Perform basic engineering design.
• Perform project field site visits.
• Experience with designing lighting systems is preferred.
• Experience with designing power distribution and grounding systems is preferred.
• Experience with designing communications and security systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Designer with background in building services and plant facilities design for military, higher education, institutional, utility plant, and industrial clients.

Technical responsibilities will include the design and layout of any / all of the following: site and building power distribution with medium and low voltage systems, switchgear, panelboards and motor control centers; convenience power, grounding, lighting, and lightning protection systems in REVIT.

Position will be responsible for design efforts, with expectations of performing design duties under supervision. Must be able to coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas as necessary, managing a design budget and schedule, and be able to demonstrate proficiency in these areas.

Candidate should be familiar with Microsoft Office. Design experience with REVIT is required. Design experience with AGi32 Lighting Analysts or similar lighting analysis software is preferred. Design experience with military bases, central plants and campus infrastructure is also a plus.
