IMEG is hiring an Electrical Designer in Minneapolis, MN to support the analysis, design, and implementation oversight of electrical systems in buildings. In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers and consultants to develop engineering solutions and advice that help deliver positive outcomes for clients. You will contribute to project budgets, planning, documentation, quality control, and multidisciplinary coordination while supporting consulting projects from design through delivery. You will be part of a team with a healthcare and MEP focus that also supports education work, advancing high‑performance, energy‑efficient design aligned with MEP2050 and AIA2030.
Associates degree, or certificate, in Building Information Modeling (BIM) or Engineering preferred.
Broad MEP‑focused portfolio with a strong emphasis on education and healthcare work. It is especially active in HVAC and electrical design, along with plumbing, fire protection, and construction administration on more coordinated project efforts. The team also shows a meaningful amount of assessment, study, and survey work, plus selective technology, commissioning, energy modeling, and master planning when projects need a wider planning or renovation scope. Overall, the team looks strongest in building systems upgrades, renovation support, and facility study work across institutional and healthcare environments. Recent work includes UH BMH/PHARMACY/RENOVATION, Healthcare, and IUPUI/MULTI‑BUILDING/HVAC STUDY, Education.

State of Minnesota Salary Range: $68,000-$90,000 per year.
The range listed above represents the base pay IMEG reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position in the work location identified above at the time of posting. For positions available in multiple locations, the minimums and maximums may vary based on work location. Individual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, abilities, and licensure and certifications. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
