Job summary

EXP is seeking an Electrical Designer to join the MEP Hospitality & Entertainment team in Orlando, FL. You will work with engineers to translate markups into CAD drawings, prepare floor plans, and perform electrical calculations. This role supports the NEC and related codes while coordinating layouts with other disciplines.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering, 0–2 years of experience, and an EIT license. The position offers growth in a dynamic, employee-owned company environment.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required (BS Architectural Engineering or BS Electrical Engineering).
• 0–2 years’ experience in electrical design or related field.
• EIT license or pursuing licensure.

Responsibilities

• Convert engineer markups into CAD drawings.
• Prepare CAD floor plans showing electrical layouts and devices.
• Perform fault current calculations with PowerTools.
• Create one-line diagrams with input from engineers.
• Develop panel schedules with input from engineers.
• Layout fire alarm devices and lighting on plans; apply NEC concepts.
