Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Kentucky seeks a Designer II, EIC, to develop complex 2D engineering drawings and participate in field measurements. Candidates must possess an associate degree in drafting or design technology or equivalent experience, along with at least 5 years in engineering drafting and electrical design. Proficiency in AutoCAD and technical knowledge of electrical design standards are essential. The role requires communication with various stakeholders and willingness to work in industrial settings, including fieldwork and travel as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have 5 years of experience in engineering drafting and electrical design practices.
• Ability to pass security and drug screening for nuclear plant access.
• Knowledge of electrical/I&C systems design principles.

Responsibilities

• Produce complex 2D engineering drawings and check for accuracy.
• Participate in field walk downs and develop field sketches.
• Communicate with project engineers and resolve design discrepancies.
• Interface with customers to satisfy their design standards.
• Exercise independent judgment to support multiple projects.
• Perform walk downs in challenging industrial environments.
