Job summary

David Evans and Associates, Inc. seeks an Electrical Designer, Distribution to join our Transmission Practice in WA.

You will assist in overhead and underground distribution design, prepare plans and documents, and support field activities while growing under experienced engineers. The role targets early-career professionals with 1–4 years of experience, strong fundamentals in electrical engineering, and a drive to develop expertise in power delivery for utility clients.

Qualifications

  • 1-4 years of professional experience supporting electric utility, power delivery, or electrical distribution projects.
  • Experience preparing engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
  • Working knowledge of overhead and underground electric distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and design practices.
  • Strong interest in developing a career in this field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel periodically for field assignments and client meetings.

The Transmission Practice is seeking an Electrical Designer, Distribution to join our growing Power Delivery team in Bellevue, Everett, Seattle, or Woodinville, WA.

The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced engineers and designers to support overhead and underground electric distribution projects for utility clients. What You'll Do

  • Desire to pursue Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
