Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. seeks an Associate Electrical Designer to support engineering in cable assembly and PCB documentation. You will capture data in PLM, prepare harness drawings, and contribute to schematic symbols and footprints in Altium. Collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering teams on drawings and BOMs.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, cross-disciplinary teamwork, and producing precise technical documentation for reviews and manufacturing release.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cable/harness documentation, PCB support or CAD drafting.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or drafting.
• Experience with Visio and Altium Designer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain cable and harness drawings using Visio and CAD tools.
• Enter connector, pin, wire and part data in the PLM system for traceability.
• Support PCB design by creating schematic symbols and footprints in Altium.
• Translate design intent with senior engineers into BOMs and drawings.
• Prepare documentation for internal reviews and manufacturing release.
• Perform drawing checks for accuracy and standards compliance.
