Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CAD/Design (Electrical) or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven industry experience with AutoCAD 2024+ and AutoCAD Electrical.
• Knowledge of NFPA and NEC standards and their application in electrical designs.

Responsibilities

• Draw electrical layouts for buildings, panels, lighting, and power.
• Modify client drawings using AutoCAD incl. general arrangements, wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Apply knowledge of electrical engineering in construction, manufacturing, and control system design.

ROLE OVERVIEW We are currently looking for a CAD Designer to join a leading engineering company based in the electrical and control systems sector. As a CAD Designer, you will play a vital role in developing detailed electrical layouts and schematics, supporting a diverse range of innovative projects within a collaborative environment. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drawing electrical layouts for buildings, panels, lighting, and power using standard symbols for specific projects.
• Modifying client drawings using AutoCAD, including general arrangements, wiring diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Applying technical knowledge in construction, manufacturing, control system design, and electrical engineering.
• Collaborating with the project team for engineering support and problem-solving.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• A Degree or higher level in Computer Aided Drafting/Design in electrical or an equivalent qualification.
• Proven industry experience with tools and parts necessary for specific projects, including expertise in AutoCAD 2024 or higher and AutoCAD Electrical.
• A working knowledge of the fundamentals of electricity and the ability to apply NFPA and NEC standards to designs.
