Actalent is seeking an Electrical Designer to support the design and development of code-compliant electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities in Lansing, Michigan. You will collaborate with engineers, architects and project teams to produce detailed drawings, specifications and load calculations under guidance.

This contract-to-hire role requires 1–3 years of relevant experience and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in electrical design for industrial/commercial facilities.
• Proficiency with lighting, power, fire alarm and security systems.
• Familiarity with BIM workflows and coordination processes.

Responsibilities

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with building information modeling (BIM) workflows and coordination processes.
• Ability to perform basic electrical calculations and load analyses under the guidance of a licensed engineer.
• Interest in staying current with evolving electrical technologies and industry trends.

Job Description

The Electrical Designer will support the design and development of efficient, code-compliant electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities. In this role, you will collaborate closely with electrical engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary project teams to create electrical design solutions, produce detailed drawings and specifications, and assist throughout all phases of project delivery. You will contribute to a diverse portfolio of projects and play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable, and well-coordinated electrical systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $33.65/hr.
