Advantage Technical in Houston is seeking an experienced Electrical Designer to join an industrial automation team. You will create detailed drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical, and design power distribution and automation systems from concept through to implementation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial or manufacturing settings, strong AutoCAD Electrical skills, and a solid understanding of PLCs, VFDs,

• 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical and ability to read electrical schematics.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Design power distribution and automation systems from concept to implementation.
• Support calculations, documentation, and project reporting.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, and clients to meet goals.
• Occasional site visits for installation support and design validation.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Now Hiring: Electrical Designer

$45-$55/hr | Full-Time | Onsite | Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM

Are you an experienced electrical designer with a background in industrial automation and power distribution? Join a collaborative engineering team where your designs directly impact the success of manufacturing and industrial projects.

What You'll Do

• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical
• Design systems involving PLCs, VFDs, motors, and industrial controls
• Develop power distribution and automation designs from concept through implementation
• Support engineering teams with calculations, documentation, and project reporting
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to meet project goals
• Conduct occasional site visits for installation support, troubleshooting, and design validation
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety standards, and industry best practices

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of electrical design experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automation environments
• Strong proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical
• Working knowledge of power distribution, control systems, and industrial automation
• Ability to read, interpret, and create electrical schematics and technical drawings
• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training or advanced education preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
