AVID Electrical Contracting is seeking a motivated and experienced Electrical Designer to join our growing design-build team. This position will play a key role in supporting large-scale commercial and industrial electrical projects throughout Texas.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced construction environment and be comfortable collaborating with project managers, estimators, field teams, general contractors, utility providers, and owners throughout the design and preconstruction process

What You’ll Do

• Assist with electrical system design and coordination for commercial and industrial projects
• Attend project design meetings and client coordination calls
• Perform site walks and existing condition surveys
• Develop and modify electrical drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
• Support budgeting, conceptual estimating, and preconstruction efforts
• Coordinate with utility providers and other design disciplines
• Assist with equipment layouts, load calculations, and constructability reviews
• Work closely with operations and field teams to support project execution

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in electrical design for commercial or industrial construction
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and RevitStrong understanding of electrical systems and construction practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience with Accubid Anywhere is a plus, but not required
