Job summary

Actalent seeks an Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design projects for power distribution equipment in Hanover, MD. You will ensure compliance with industry standards, support manufacturing teams, and help resolve mechanical and electrical integration challenges on the production floor.

The role emphasizes DFM, protoypes, and collaboration with design, quality, and field service teams to achieve reliable, manufacturable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with power distribution equipment design.
• Knowledge of UL 891/1558/67 and NEMA standards.
• Understanding of protection and control systems.
• Manufacturing or field service experience.
• PLC programming knowledge.
• Data center or industrial applications experience.
• EIT certification or plans to pursue PE licensure.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design projects for power distribution equipment and integration.
• Review designs for manufacturability and feedback to design teams.
• Support prototypes, DFM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and field service teams on issues.
