Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions is seeking an Electrical Engineer for the Stennis Space Center, MS. You will perform complex facilities and sitewide electrical design tasks and provide technical support in line with current electrical standards.

The role requires a ABET‑accredited degree, 1–4 years of experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Windchill, and SKM. US citizenship for NASA badge is mandatory; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• 1-4 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Experience with SKM ArcFlash calculation software.
• Experience in low and high voltage power distribution, lightning protection, lighting, and UPS desired.
• FE certification in MS or LA preferred, with plans to obtain PE within 1-4 years.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain NASA badge.
• Must provide birth certificate, passport, or INS citizenship docs at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of electrical system designs for new or modified facilities.
• Prepare plans and specs for construction packages with design software.
• Develop proposals and estimated construction costs for designs.
• Review vendor/contractor submittals and RFIs to move design to construction.
• Coordinate with other organizations and engineering disciplines.
• Review and check designs, specs, and cost estimates of team members.
• Comply with safety and health policies; monitor project status.
• Conduct site visits to verify as-builts and conditions; develop design strategies.
• Communicate and coordinate work efforts across teams.
