Job summary

ENERCON is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Nuclear Design Group. You will work on electrical system design for power generation and DOE projects, collaborating across disciplines and mentoring junior engineers.

The role requires a ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering degree, 3+ years of experience, strong communication, and proficiency in Word/Excel. Some travel to project sites is expected, and US citizenship is required due to federal contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Minimum of 3 years of experience with design of electrical systems (high voltage, switchgear, motor controls)
• Must have experience in power generation, nuclear power or government (DOE) projects directly or with an engineering/design consulting firm
• Writing, presentation and communication skills
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams
• Proficient in Word and Excel
• Due to Federal Contract Requirements, US Citizenship is required
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed

Responsibilities

In this role, you'll collaborate with interdisciplinary partners, coordinate across engineering teams, and help drive successful project execution. Your day-to-day work may include developing design studies, preparing engineering calculations & analysis, attending project meetings, conducting field walkdowns, and mentoring junior engineers. You'll apply your expertise to challenging and meaningful projects while contributing to technical excellence and innovation.

• Be Hands-On in the Field: Travel to project sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, and support start-up activities to ensure quality and compliance

Compensation Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $185,000.00 /Yr.
