Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS).
  • Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and PCB schematic creation.
  • Strong knowledge of cell sensing, protection, isolation, and balancing circuits for lithium batteries.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and results-driven focus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and validate hardware prototypes effectively.

Role Overview:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will develop and refine BMS hardware from concept through certification, working on everything from voltage sensing to cell balancing and system integration. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring complex hardware and embedded software solutions to life, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance in a high-stakes environment. Your expertise will contribute directly to safer, more efficient aerospace energy storage solutions.

Required Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years experience designing lithium-ion battery management systems (BMS)
  • Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and PCB schematic creation
  • Strong knowledge of cell sensing, protection, isolation, and balancing circuits for lithium batteries

  • Experience supporting embedded microcontroller software and certification processes
Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
  • 5+ years designing BMS for aviation or similar high-reliability industries
  • Demonstrated success in product lifecycle management, from initial design to field application
Other Requirements:
  • On-site work in Wichita, KS
  • Willingness to work in a collaborative environment involving hardware, software, and mechanical teams
  • Good communication skills essential for team coordination
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security or certification clearances

Estimated Min Rate: $90000.00

Estimated Max Rate: $130000.00
